ARO 210/310 Interchange, M Series

ARO is a brand name — originally an independent company, it is now part of Ingersoll Rand. ARO is recognized for its air tools, fluid handling systems, and pneumatic quick couplers.

Over time, ARO developed certain coupler profiles (designs) that became industry standards. These profiles are now replicated by many manufacturers, and “ARO Interchange” means that the product follows those dimensions and design so that it’s interchangeable with other ARO-style couplings, regardless of brand.

ARO 210 and ARO 310 are two common series, but they are not the same size and not compatible with each other. ARO 210 Interchange is typically a 1/4″ body size. ARO 310 Interchange is usually a 3/8″ body size, meaning it has a larger airflow capacity and physical size than 210.
