This item is a 1/2 stainless steel coupler, the body material is stainless steel 304, the dimensional request comply with the ISO 7241-1 Series B standard, they are interchangeable with other ISO B quick-release couplings. All the materials are stainless steel 304, they have perfect corrosion resistance. They don’t need any plating on the surface. The 1/2 stainless steel coupler usually can work in fluids like water, chemical fluids, steam, and so on. The fluid will not be polluted by the plating materials, then supply a good performance on operating to connecting and disconnecting.
The default seal o-ring material is NBR. They can work for most of the fluids and also can supply a good temperature performance. But if you will use the 1/2 stainless steel coupler for the steam, or some similar applications that will work at a high temperature over 100˚C. You’d better choose the FKM material instead. After you place the order, you can contact us to replace the o-ring with FKM.
